Commercial Series Accordion Style Room Dividers by Woodfold
These commercial quality room divider curtains are perfect to partition storage areas, classrooms, fellowship hall and worship spaces. Divider panels are rigid and each panel is hinged so the divider stretches out like an accordian to partition off your space and stacks flat against a wall. Dividers hang from aluminum track which you attach to your ceiling. Dividers are free swinging at the bottom. Room dividers can be made as one long divider or can be made as right/left pairs which meet in the middle.

Standard Church Room Divider-Series 240 are good when sound reduction is not required. These room dividers work well for closing off areas when not being used, such as kitchens and storage areas or for partitioning classrooms where minimal sound reduction is needed. The 240 series room divider can be used to seperate two classrooms or divide a multi-purpose space.The 240 series have a gap at the top and bottom of the divider which can allow for greater sound transmission than the sound reduction dividers.

Basic Sound Reduction Divider -Series 2100 provides a basic level of sound reduction and is good for partitioning adult classrooms, meeting rooms, sanctuaries, fellowship halls, etc. (Note:these are FSTC 21 and not sound proof) The series 2100 provides greater sound reduction that the 240 series by the addition of vinyl sweep seals at the top and bottom of the divider.

Deluxe Sound Reduction Divider -Series 3300 provides a higher level of sound reduction for rooms where louder noises are present (children and youth classrooms on one side, adult on the other)(Note:these are FSTC 33 and not sound proof). Series 3300 accoustical room dividers feature sweep seals as with the 2100 series and additionally feature a layer of sound dampening material in the hinged panels.

Measuring for Church Room Dividers: Measure the wall to wall distance in inches. Measure ceiling height in inches to 1/8". Take several HEIGHT measurements along the opening width. For the 240 series dividers, use the shortest measurement. For the 2100 and 3300 series dividers, use the tallest measurement.

How to Order Church Room Dividers

Dividers are sold by the lineal foot. So if room is 20ft wide you have 20 lin feet. Put “20” in the correct pricing box and it gives you the price at bottom of page

There are 3 pricing boxes based on ceiling height
Box 1- Height up to 8’1
Box 2-Height 8’1-10’1
Box 3-Height 10’1 to 12ft

Dividers can be made as a single door or as a pair (i.e. 2ea 10ft sections to make up a 20ft opening. )

We think the Thumb latch is better for churches than the keylock as you don’t have to worry about a lost key

We carry 4 types of dividers
The WF240 is the basic church room divider…there is a gap at the top where it hangs from track of about 3/8” + a ½” gap at bottom to allow for uneven floors. Due to the gap there is minimal sound reduction with the series 240. (imagine your opening covered with a 5/16" sheet of plywood but with gaps at the top and bottom)

WF 2100 is the entry level sound reduction divider (not sound proof) ...you can still hear talking but the noise level is reduced. Vinyl seals at top and bottom help reduce sound and airflow. (imagine your opening covered with a 5/16" sheet of plywood with vinyl seals to cover the gaps at the top and bottom)

WF 3300 is a double walled unit so it provides more sound reduction than the 2100 series but  is still not sound proof. Vinyl seals at top and bottom help reduce sound and airflow.(imagine your opening covered with 2 sheets of 5/16" sheet of plywood with a half-inch air gap between the sheets and vinyl seals to cover the gaps at the top and bottom)

WF4100 is a double walled unit with extra sound dampening material in between the panels. Vinyl seals at top and bottom help reduce sound and airflow.(imagine your opening covered with 2 sheets of 5/16" sheet of plywood with a half-inch air gap plus heavy, sound dampening material between the sheets and vinyl seals to cover the gaps at the top and bottom). The WF4100 is close in sound reduction to a regular drywall interior wall.

Who Does the Installation of our Church Room Divider?
We do not provide installation or recommend installers but installation of room dividers is not difficult. Provided you have adequate ceiling structure (the track must screw into ceiling joists) most dividers can be installed using competent volunteer labor on a Saturday. Alternatively, you can check with a local commercial contractor or even a commercial "handyman" service. 

Hanging Room Dividers on Various Ceiling Types

Drywall
If you have a drywall ceiling, simply put the track flush against the drywall and screw through the track into the ceiling joists.

Drop Ceiling or Ceiling Tiles
The track must be attached to the structure of the building. If you have a drop ceiling then installation requires that you put something solid for it to attach to...a header, beam or spaced braces dropped every 16" or so.
New Ceiling Construction: If a suspended ceiling system is being installed in conjunction with an Accordion Door, the use of a recessed hat channel will simplify the job.

Exiting Drop Ceiling: the most common practice is to place a finished 1” x 6” board on the underside, or room-side, of the ceiling and another board on the topside of the ceiling. Fastened together, these will form a sandwich of sorts, with the acoustic material in between. Drop wires or rods installed from above will support the door and plates, and the track can then be attached to the underside board. It’s important to note that finished opening dimensions will be affected, so measure from the surface that the track will attach to, to the finished floor.

Headers

Headers must span the entire opening without sagging: the door jamb and header must be plumb and level for the track and door to install and function properly. Local building codes vary widely, so we recommend that you check into structural and design requirements for your area.

Optional Items for Church Room Dividers
 An intermediate rolling post serves several functions. It enables an extremely large door to be fabricated, shipped and installed in two or more sections, for easier handling. Constructed with an interlocking jamb molding, the intermediate rolling post enables two doors to be joined together to form a “T,” desired in some settings, and also adds stability and security for doors spanning larger openings.  The intermediate rolling post also enables the door to have foot bolts that would throw down into the floor.

Sliding jambs, commonly used for large doors which when stacked will occupy three or four feet of space, enable such doors to be stored in a protective pocket constructed on-site. A sliding jamb requires less lineal footage of folding door to be purchased.

We have an old room divider, can we buy parts or get new track?
Send us a picture of the divider so we can see the track, the divider itself, the “meeting” hardware and the mfg. label which should be on the meeting section or the track. We only carry Woodfold room dividers and Woodfold parts/track , etc. will only work with other Woodfold products.
