A single entry baptistry has one set of stairs that lead down into the pool. The candidate enters and exits the pool on the same side. We refer to baptistries as either right-entry or left-entry as viewed from the congregation. (If the steps are on the right side, as viewed from the pews, it is a right-entry baptistry.) The advantage to a single entry baptistry is typically a smaller footprint and lower cost than a double entry unit, although some larger single entry units can be bigger and more expensive than the smallest double entry models.

With a single entry baptistry, men and women enter on the same side as each other. You may need to locate separate changing rooms next to each other or utilize a unisex changing room.  As candidates will be dripping wet, try to minimize the distance they have to walk to get to a changing room and be sure to have effective water containment mats along the way and in the actual changing rooms.


Our church baptistries typically have a 2 to 4 week lead time and can be delivered to your church or may be picked up at the factory.


If you are planning on leaving water in your baptism pool for an extended period, we suggest that you add and Aqua Guard finish to prevent blistering of the fiberglass and we also suggest additional options be added including circulation systems, water treatment systems, baptistry covers and pool alarms.
