Tabletop Advent Wreath
Our tabletop Advent wreaths are designed for churches to use on a flat surface such as a table, stand or similar base. Using a table top wreath can save your church on the overall cost as you don't need to purchase a separate stand. Tabletop wreaths also allow for easier placement of greenery around the advent ring than with floor standing models.

Trying to decide on a tabletop advent wreath for your church vs. the other types of advent candle stands that are available? Here's some thoughts based on over 20 years of helping churches make that same decision.
- Many of the tabletop models are simply the advent head from a
floorstanding model, adapted with a base so you can use it on table. You still
get the same size size ring and use the same size advent candles as the floor
models, but by using an existing table, you don't have the added expense of
the floor stand.
- Many churches find it's much easier to use greenery with the tabletop
wreaths because the table itself can support the weight of the greenery
instead of having to fasten the greenery to the stand.
- Tabletop wreaths are easier to store when the wreath is not being used.
You can put them back in the box they were shipped in and store them on a
shelf in the sacristy or a storage closet.
- Cost is usually a factor. Because you are not buying the stand, a
tabletop model is much less than the same quality and design floor
model.
- Appearance is a factor when using larger pillar style advent candles. The
larger 3" diameter candles can sometimes make a floor model look top heavy,
whereas when the advent wreath sits on a table, the larger candles look more
solidly placed.
- Stability is a concern, particularly if your floor model would be standing
on plush pile carpet or uneven floor tiles.
- It's usually easier to light the candles on a tabletop wreath because most
tables are 30" tall where a floor standing wreath can sometimes be over 5ft
tall. If the the acolytes in your church are responsible for lighting the
candles. Keep in mind you may lose some visibility however, if the candles are
lower to the ground.
As with any advent candle stand, the tabletop models are available in brass, bronze, wrought iron, aluminum and wood. Try to choose a model that's the same finish as the reast of your church appointments, candlesticks, etc. or that blends in with your church decor and style.
If you are planning on using so much greenery that the wreath itself is barely visible, then we suggest choosing a plain model that's lower in cost than more decorative ones. Afterall, if the greenery is going to hide all of the decorative features of your wreath, why get an expensive one?
