Small diameter candles are used generally in church candelabras although they can be used as altar candles.

The most common size is the 7/8 x 12 inch candle. Most candelabras have 7/8 inch sockets so these candles are used both here, and in processional torches.

Smaller altars more commonly have 7/8" candles.

Small diameter candles can be ordered with either plain or self fitted ends. Self fitted ends allow the candle to fit a wider range of socket tolerances.
