Finest quality Beeswax church altar candles in Standard size diameters from 3/4" to 1-1/4" and up to 24" in height • Made from select, high quality 51% BEESWAX • BLEACHED for a light, slightly off-white color • Choose Plain End or Self-Fitted End • Cleaner and more consistent burning than lesser quality beeswax candles • See below for the corresponding item numbers for these candles.

Small diameter candles are used generally in church candelabras although they can be used as altar candles.

The most common size is the 7/8 x 12 inch candle. Most candelabras have 7/8 inch sockets so these candles are used both here, and in processional torches.

Smaller altars more commonly have 7/8" candles.

The 1-1/4 inch x 25 inch altar candle is considered a small diameter due to the ration of length to diameter.

Small diameter candles can be ordered with either plain or self fitted ends. Self fitted ends allow the candle to fit a wider range of socket tolerances.

51% beeswax offers the best value between church tradition and today's church budgets. Canon law approves for the use of 51% bees wax candles in liturgical services.

For best performance, always use a candle follower.
