The Little Giant #230 Electrical Interrupter is designed to completely turn off all power to the Baptistry Heating Electrical System if there is a short of only 5 to 6 miliamps. This interrupter completely protects people from electrical shock.
The National Electrical Code requires that a ground fault interrupter must be installed in electrical systems where it is possible for people to be subjected to a short-to-ground condition. (In other words it is a must for use with Baptistries)
Wiring diagrams are supplied with the Ground Fault Interrupter. Always install GFI as close to the heater as possible. Nipple the GFI to the contactor box or heater cover box.
This is a GFCI Device, not a receptacly. You would install this next to (and wired to) your receptacle. It works with either the 120v or 240v Immersion Heater but because of the price, we reccomend that if you need a GFCI for your 120v immersion heater that you get one from a local hardware store.
